Been dancing for about three and a half years. For the past three years, Hanafi had performed on numerous occasions. Some major ones would be The Big Groove 2008, Danzation 2008, SP Annual Waves Dance Concert 2006 - 2008 and OKTO live. During the Big Groove Dance Workshop 08, held at Sentosa, with approximately 200 participants, Hanafi received one of the four scholarships for Big Groove Dance Workshop 09.

During these three years, he had also guided junior dancers in SP Dance Club (Strictly Dance Zone) and choreographed performance pieces for events in and outside of Singapore Polytechnic as well as for SP Annual Waves Dance Concert. He was the SDZ President for the year 07/08.

Hanafi had been specializing in house for one a half years and had learnt under one of the best house dancers in Japan, Take.
